“I Thank The Storm, That Tries To Break My Soul”

Hailing from Adelaide, Australia, Echoes In Eternity are back with their second album, FUNERAL WORLD, following a two-year hiatus.

Their powerful debut full-length, Into The Negative, was well-received, but saw the band disband shortly after its release before their scheduled Froth & Fury festival performance. Fast forward two years, and a reunion between primary songwriter and guitarist Aidan Cibich (Apophis) and vocalist Lee Gardiner (Double Dragon) reignited their creative fire.

Echoes In Eternity immediately began work on their comeback visual EP, "The Movie", before hitting the ground running with their sophomore album, FUNERAL WORLD. This new record sees the band step into murkier, more abrasive, and unrelenting sonic territory. Heavily inspired by the chaos of Pantera’s The Great Southern Trendkill, alongside influences from Carcass and Death, the album leaves behind their previous mantra of writing positive, inspirational themes.

Instead, FUNERAL WORLD is a cathartic soundscape of self-discovery, exploring raw topics like depression, family illness, and post-addictive survival. Recorded solely in Adelaide by Aidan Cibich, the album also features guest appearances from local legends KILLER. (Storm The Crown) and PAUL13 on the final two tracks.

Looking ahead, with vocalist Lee Gardiner returning to his duties with Double Dragon for the 2026 Froth & Fury festival, Echoes In Eternity are also planning their own return to the stage. The band will be hitting the rehearsal studios to close out 2025 in preparation for a show planned for mid-2026.
